Description
Project: Key Visuals and Visual Communication for “Scena w Budowie” Festival (2022–2023)
Over the course of two consecutive years, I was responsible for designing the key visuals and visual communication for the Scena w Budowie Festival, organized by the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin.
In 2022, I created the entire festival branding from my own original concept.
The main festival poster was based on photographs of theatrical masks taken from one of the festival’s performances, symbolically referencing transformation, identity, and the process of creation.
In addition to the main key visual, I designed individual posters for all performances presented as part of the festival, ensuring visual consistency across the entire program.
In 2023, the main festival poster was designed by renowned artist Mieczysław Wasilewski.
My role was to develop the remaining posters for all festival events, carefully adapting their design language to match Wasilewski’s distinctive visual style. This required translating his artistic approach into a cohesive system that could function across multiple formats while preserving the integrity of the original key visual.
Across both editions, the project focused on consistency, adaptability, and strong visual storytelling, supporting the festival’s identity while responding to different creative contexts year by year.
